TSI Assessment Preparation (2024)

The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a state-required assessment test to determine college-readiness in reading, writing, and math. All entering students must take the TSI test before enrolling in classes unless you are exempt or complete.

Before taking the TSI, we have a Pre-Assessment Activity for you to complete. Directions to sign up are below and here is a video of the process:

Step 2

Select “Don’t have an account? Sign Up” under the yellow box.

Step 3

Select the 3rd Practice Test – Texas Success Initiative 2.0 Pre-Assessment Activity (TSIA2 – PAA).

Step 4

Select Austin Community College as your Institution.

Step 5

Begin the Pre-Assessment Activity:

When you are finished, you will receive a PAA completion email or may print out your certificate.

NOTE: If you do not receive a confirmation email, check your SPAM folder. If you still do not see an email, you may print out or take a photo of your PAA certificate, by going into your “Practice App” account and go into your history at the top right of the page.

Provide the PAA confirmation email or copy/photo of your PAA certificate to a testing center staff.
